Is Twitter a threat to Mahalo?

Have been fascinated by the idea of human powered search.the ability of the human mind to discern the useful ones from the useless ones is fascinating even though it’s bias may be an irritant.

So, I thought mahalo struck the right cord.off late, I have become a fan of twitter. I haven’t used Google for a while nor have I used Mahalo because all I needed for learning has come from those I follow in twitter.

Given the size of the links database, I will not be able to show my back on Google at least for the foreseeable future.

Twitter search is inefficient at this moment so it works more like a feed.
I see attempts to improve the same.

If Twitter improves information categorization and it’s search ability, it closes the gap on what Mahalo attempts to do.

So, Is Twitter a threat to Mahalo?
